Welcome to All the Wellness ! My name is Audrey Spoerr and I can’t tell you how excited I am to have this blog up and running!

If you asked me, “Hey Audrey, what is most important to you in your life?” Obvious things aside (my cats, fiance and lots of coffee), my answer jumps immediately to being the healthiest version of me that I can be. My cats are a VERY close second however…sorry, honey! You might be catching a few photos of them and all of their adorableness here and there.

In fact, this one is my blog assistant today!

ANYWAY! Let’s backtrack a few *15* years to what started it all. I was always the chunky, insecure, socially awkward kid. My family ate out at fast food places a LOT, snacks were definitely not scarce in our home, and sugar lurked in every corner. The chunkier I got, the more socially awkward and depressed I got. It was just this nasty, vicious cycle of emotional eating and unhappiness.

Being overweight and underactive took a huge toll on me. Not only was I bullied and completely uncomfortable being anywhere other than home, but I always felt sluggish and unmotivated to do anything. My life revolved around food. It was my only comfort.

My family had no idea what exercise was either. We had an old, dusty bench in the back of the garage that just acted as a shelf for other old forgotten items. I think I also remember an Ab Lounge that I tried out a few times with high hopes that my stomach pudge would magically turn into a six pack overnight.

I got tired of being the fat kid, being picked on, laughed at, keeping my head down all the time.

The problem was I had no guidance and no idea what to do. My entire life up to that point consisted of endless hours of sitting on my butt watching television and eating insane amounts of junk food.

I started with all I knew how to do. Walk. I went for walks out in the middle of Florida summer with a family friend and sweat my hiney off. When I finished, that feeling was like no other. Though the tiredness set in, my body felt so refreshed. And so I got up the next day and went for a walk again. And then the next day I thought, you know what? Let’s try a run.

My fitness journey started with a walk. SO much has changed since that first step. I would have never thought that I would end up here. Hell, I never thought I would EVER be the girl to pick up a dumbbell. Here I am happily throwing weights around in my local gym.

It has taken me years to get to where I am now but I wouldn’t change any of it. The journey has taught me priceless lessons and given me an incredible experience.

The reason I’m so excited for this blog is now I finally have the chance to share my learnings, experience, and current journey with others (YOU!) so that you may also live a happy, healthy life! I don’t want anyone to feel as hopeless and alone as I did when I was younger.

I want to motivate and inspire others to take that first step. I want to share super awesome delicious healthy recipes and hope you love them just as much as I do! I can’t wait to find new exercises to try out with you. I can’t wait to have you on my fitness journey!
